Weekly unemployment data

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic and response, RWIN will report economic data to help analyze unemployment trends by state and county. Data will include weekly unemployment insurance claims as well as job posting data to identify the top employers and occupations. Data will be updated as it becomes available.


Claims by state

Unemployment insurance claims have spiked to unprecedented levels in Kansas and Missouri. Prior to March 14, the highest weekly first-time claims were 18,000 in Kansas and 27,000 in Missouri.
